In this article, you can find the steps to view and edit information about suppliers on Choco.

How to view suppliers’ information

You can easily view the information about a supplier by accessing the chat details.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Open the mobile app

    • If you have multiple restaurants on Choco, choose which restaurant you are managing

  2. Select Suppliers in the bottom tab

  3. Select the supplier

  4. Select the Settings option (⚙️) on the top right

Here, you can view information about your chat with this supplier, including:

  • Your customer number with the supplier

  • Who from your team can communicate and order with the supplier

  • Who from your supplier’s team receives your orders and messages

How to view suppliers’ order preferences and delivery information

With just one step from your suppliers’ chat details, you might also be able to view their delivery information including:

  • Delivery days

  • Cut-off times

  • Minimum order value

Here’s how it works:

  1. Open the mobile app

    • If you have multiple restaurants on Choco, choose which restaurant you are managing

  2. Select Suppliers in the bottom tab

  3. Select the supplier

  4. Select the Settings option (⚙️) on the top right

  5. Select your supplier’s name on the top tab

Note: only premium suppliers are able to display delivery information on Choco. Your supplier might also be omitting certain information based on their preferences.

Explanation of suppliers’ information

Here’s what every information field in your supplier’s chat details and profile means:

Chat details

Supplier display name

The name of the supplier that is visible only to you and your team.

Customer account number

The unique number or code assigned to your business account. This will be sent to the supplier along with your orders.

You can usually find this on a PO or invoice from your supplier.

Including this information helps reduce the chance of ordering mistakes.

Your team members

Your team members that can communicate and order with that supplier.

You can access the phone call option by clicking on their names.

Note: team members can have different roles and permissions.

Your supplier’s team members

Your supplier’s team members who receive your orders and messages.

You can access the phone call option by clicking on their names.

Supplier's profile

Delivery days

The days your supplier delivers to you.

Cut-off time

The time until which your supplier will accept and confirm your orders.

Minimum order value

The minimum amount you must spend when ordering from the supplier. Additional costs may occur if orders are placed under this amount.

Delivery fee

The amount your supplier charges to do a delivery to your business.

Delivery areas

The areas where your supplier does deliveries.

How to edit your suppliers’ information

The type of suppliers’ information that you can edit independently is limited to the supplier’s display name, your customer account number and your team members in the supplier chat.

Note: you can request further edits of your supplier’s profile and contact details such as phone number or email by contacting our Customer Support.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Open the mobile app

    • If you have multiple restaurants on Choco, choose which restaurant you are managing

  2. Select Suppliers in the bottom tab

  3. Select the supplier

  4. Select the Settings option (⚙️) on the top right

    • Select your supplier’s display name to make edits that are visible only to you and your team from your chats page

    • Select your customer account number to make edits that are visible to your suppliers (you can usually find this on a PO or invoice from your supplier; including this information helps reduce the chance of ordering mistakes)

    • Manage your team members that are part of the supplier chat by adding and removing them (editing permission is limited to team members with admin and staff roles)

  5. Select your supplier’s name on the top tab

    • While you cannot edit your supplier’s profile independently, you can review the information from your supplier’s chat details, including the supplier’s company description, delivery days, cut-off times, minimum order value, delivery fee, and delivery area.

    • Note: displaying this information is a feature that only premium suppliers have access to, hence you might not be able to view it.
