The Scan Feature in the Choco App allows you to find products in the catalogue quickly by scanning a barcode — no manual search by product name or item number required.

⚠️ Note: This feature is only available for certain suppliers.

How to Scan – Step by Step

  1. Open the chat with your supplier

  2. Click "Start Order"

  3. Click on the Search button at the top of the screen.

  4. Tap the scanner icon on the right of the search bar. The camera opens automatically.

  5. Position the barcode within the camera frame and hold it steady until it is recognised.

  6. The app automatically displays the matching product in the catalogue. You can add it to one or more Order Guides or to your basket directly from this screen.

  7. Enter the quantity, add the product to your basket and place your order.

✨ Tips for Better Scan Results

  • Ensure there is sufficient lighting when scanning.

  • Hold the camera steady and directly over the barcode.

  • If a barcode is not recognised, try adjusting the distance.

  • The Scan Feature works in both the catalogue and the Order Guide.

Frequently asked Questions

  • What happens if the product is not found?

    If a barcode cannot be matched to a product in the catalogue, no results will appear. In this case, please contact your supplier directly via chat in the app.

  • Does the Scan Feature work offline?

    No, an active internet connection is required. This allows the app to search the catalogue in real time.
