Follow these steps to manage team members in Choco

In this article, you can find the steps to manage the team members of your restaurant.

Before trying to add or remove team members, make sure you have admin or staff role. Only users with admin or staff roles can add or remove members or change roles.

How to add a team member to your business on the app

To add team members, you need an admin or staff role. Contributors must request a role change from an admin or staff member to add team members.

Here's how it works:

  1. Prepare Contact Information:

    • Add your team member’s cell phone number to your contacts.

  2. Open the Mobile App:

    • Launch the Choco app on your device.

  3. Select the Restaurant:

    • If you manage multiple restaurants, choose the appropriate one.

  4. Access Team Management:

    • Tap on "Team" in the bottom tab.

  5. Add Team Member:

    • Select "Add team member."

    • When asked to sync contacts, choose "Sync contacts."

    • View and search for your contacts under "Choco contacts" or "Invite to Choco."

  6. Assign a Role

  7. Invite to Supplier Chats:

    • Select the supplier chats you want to invite your team member to.

    • Tap "Done."

  8. Final Steps:

    • If your team member is on Choco, they will be added to your team.

    • If not, they will receive an invitation to download and sign up.

How to remove a team member from your business on the app

If you have admin role, you can easily remove team members from a business. Contributors and stuff must request a role change to perform this action.

Here's how it works:

  1. Open the Mobile App on your device.

  2. Select the Restaurant:

    • If you manage multiple restaurants, choose the appropriate one.

  3. Tap on "Team" in the bottom tab to access Team Management

  4. Remove Team Member:

    • Select the team member.

    • Tap "Remove from business."

How to add a team member to a supplier chat on the app

If you have admin access, you can easily add a team member to a supplier chat.

As a contributor, you must ask someone with admin to change your role to be able to add a team member.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Prepare Contact Information:

    • Add your team member’s cell phone number to your contacts.

  2. Open the Mobile App on your device.

  3. Select the Restaurant:

    • If you manage multiple restaurants, choose the appropriate one.

  4. Access Suppliers:

    • Tap on "Suppliers" in the bottom tab.

  5. Add Team Member:

    • Select the supplier.

    • Tap the "Settings" option (⚙️) on the top right.

    • Select "Add team member."

    • When asked to sync contacts, choose "Sync contacts."

    • Select the people to add.

    • Tap "Done" on the top right.

  6. Final Steps:

    • If your team member is on Choco, they will be part of the chat with the supplier.

    • If not, they will receive an invitation to download and sign up.

How to remove a team member from a supplier chat on the app

If you have admin, you can easily remove a team member from a supplier chat. As a contributor, you must ask someone with admin to change your role to be able to add a team member.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Open the Mobile App on your device.

  2. Select the Restaurant:

    • If you manage multiple restaurants, choose the appropriate one.

  3. Access Suppliers:

    • Tap on "Suppliers" in the bottom tab.

  4. Remove Team Member:

    • Select the supplier.

    • Tap the "Settings" option (⚙️) on the top right.

    • Select the team member.

    • Tap "Remove from supplier."

How to manage team members on Choco web

If you have admin, you can manage your team members’ access to a business or a supplier chat through Choco web. As a contributor, you must ask someone with admin to change your role to be able to do this.

Here's how it works:

Admins and staff can manage team members’ access on the web. Contributors must request a role change to perform this action.

  1. Open Your Browser:

    • Go to choco.com.

  2. Log In:

    • Select "Log In" at the top right of the website banner.

  3. Access Team Management:

    • Click on "Team" in the left tab.

    • If you manage multiple restaurants, choose the appropriate one in the top left.

  4. Manage Team Members:

    • To remove a team member from your business:

      • Select the team member.

      • Click the three dots on the top right.

      • Select "Remove."

    • To manage team members’ access to a supplier chat:

      • Select the team member.

      • Select and unselect suppliers in the bottom right to add or remove access to chats.

      • Click "Save."
