Promotional campaigns are the best way to engage with your customers via chat, email or via banner in the Customer Home. Customers receive these messages in the app or by email, allowing them to order from you with a few clicks.
You'll be able to to promote new products, notify your customers on discounts or communicate about delivery issues in a simple and effective way.
How to create a promotional campaign
How to choose the channel
Open your Choco Webtool on your browser and navigate to the Campaign tab
Click on the New Campaign button
You can select the One-time campaigns:
Chat: Reach your customers on Choco's web and mobile app to promote your products.
Email: Reach your customers via email to promote your products. To set up your account, please refer to the guidelines below.
Or the Continuous campaigns:
Customer Home: best for highlithing your products to drive discovery and encourage first-time or repeat orders.
Preferred products section: Best for highlighting seaonal products or those with a short shelf life. Only available for E-commerce App.
How to set-up email Marketing
✨ Before sending your first email campaign, you’ll need to set up your account. This only needs to be done once.
Click on the New Campaign button.
Select Set-up email marketing.
Fill out the Sender and Reply-to details part:
Sender name
Reply-to name
Reply-to email address
Fill in your company’s legal details:
Review the legal requirements for your country.
Add the required information and links, such as your Privacy Policy and your website URL.
Preview your email footer to ensure all details are correct.
Select Save and Validate
How to create a one-time campaign
💡At any step of the campaign creation you can click on Save as draft and your progress will be saved
How to set-up a chat campaign
Select Chat and click Next.
Select Add products. If you don’t need to choose a product from your catalog, click Skip products.
Select products by searching by name or product ID. You can select multiple products, then click Next.
Add an image or document (up to 5 MB) and write your in-app message. Click Next.
You can see the preview on the left.
Add recipients and click Send.
a. You can select all your customers.
b. If you have labeled your customers, you can select one or multiple labels.
c. Or select customers individually.
You will find your campaign in the Finished section, as it is a one-time campaign.
You will be able to view engagement metrics, including Sent, Viewed, and Clicked.
You will also have a view of the sales report, including placed orders and generated revenue.
How to set-up an email campaign
Select Email and click Next.
Select Add products. If you don’t need to choose a product from your catalog, click Skip products.
Select products by searching by name or product ID. You can select multiple products, then click Next.
Add the subject line of your email.
Click Edit content. Once you’re done, click the blue Save and exit button. You can:
Add or resize pictures
Add text and change the font or background color
Add dividers or sections
Use the grid to help structure your content
Add recipients and click Send.
You can select all your customers.
If you have labeled your customers, you can select one or multiple labels.
Or select customers individually.
You will find your campaign in the Finished section, as it is a one-time campaign.
You will be able to view engagement metrics, including Sent and Viewed.
You can review email performance metrics such as Delivered, Unsubscribed, Bounced, and Spam.
You will also have a view of the sales report, including placed orders and generated revenue.
How to create a continuous campaign
Unlike one-time campaigns, this creates a persistent promotional section that customers see every time they log in, making it easier to discover and purchase promoted items.
How to set-up a customer home campaign
Select Customer Home and click Next.
Select Add products. If you don’t need to choose a product from your catalog, click Skip products.
Select products by searching by name or product ID. You can select multiple products, then click Next.
You will need to edit the Display content and the Ordering content
Display content: This appears on your customers’ home screen to highlight your promotion. Add an image (up to 5 MB) and a title, then click Next.
Ordering content: This appears after customers click on your promotion. Add an image (up to 5 MB) and a message to encourage customers to place an order, then click Next.
Add recipients and click Send.
You can select all your customers.
If you have labeled your customers, you can select one or multiple labels.
Or select customers individually.
You will find your campaign in the Live section, as it is a continuous campaign.
You will be able to view engagement metrics, including Sent, viewed and clicked.
You will also have a view of the sales report, including placed orders and generated revenue.
Click End Now when you want to stop the campaign.
How to set-up a preferred product section campaign
⚠️ This feature is only available for E-commerce App
Preferred Products is a new continuous marketing campaign type that displays a carousel of promoted products directly on your customer’s home page.
Campaign Type: Continuous (visible for 7 days until another campaign is created, new campaign overrides the old one)
Product Limit: Maximum 15 products per campaign
Activation: Goes live immediately upon sending
Select Preferred Products Section and click Next.
Add a title (maximum 40 characters) and click Next.
Add recipients and click Send.
You can select all your customers.
If you have labeled your customers, you can select one or multiple labels.
Or select customers individually.
You will find your campaign in the Live section, as it is a continuous campaign.
You will be able to view engagement metrics, including Sent, viewed and clicked.
You will also have a view of the sales report, including placed orders and generated revenue.
How to check your campaigns sent from the previous Promo Hub tool
Open your Choco Webtool on your browser and navigate to the Campaign tab.
On Campaigns click Sent.
Then click View past Chat campaigns, you will be able to see the campaigns that you have sent in the past using the previous Promo Hub tool.
