Easily manage your team in Choco by controlling user access, customer visibility, and permissions.

Permissions

Admin

Full access to features and customers in your account. Can manage access for other team members.

Sales Rep

Access is limited to selected customers. Permissions include managing chats and orders, as well as communicating directly with those customers.


How to add a team member

  1. Open your Choco Webtool on your browser and navigate to the Settings tab.

  2. Open Team & Permissions.

  3. You’ll find the list of existing team members in your account. If you want to add a new one, click on the blue button Add Team Member on the top right side of the page.

  4. A side screen will appear on the right side. You'll have to provide the following information:

    • Full name

    • Telephone number

    • Email address (optional)

    • Language

    • Role (Sales Rep or Admin)

  5. Once you click Add to Team an invite will be sent to them by SMS to download the Choco app. Once they log in to Choco with their phone number they will directly access your account as a Sales Rep, both on the mobile app and webtool.

💡 Once your new team member has accepted the invite, you'll have to select which chats they can access. Find the instructions in the next section.


How to add team members to chats

  1. Select Settings from the side menu.

  2. Select Team & permissions.

  3. Select the team member you want to edit the chats for.

  4. Scroll down in the right-hand panel to Chats. From there, you can browse the list of available chats or search for specific ones to add or remove.

  5. Tick the corresponding boxes and click Save.


How to change the role of your team members

  1. Select Settings from the side menu.

  2. Select Team & permissions.

  3. Click on the team member whose role you want to change. A side menu will pop up with their current settings.

  4. Select the new role you want to assign to them.

    • If their new role is Sales Rep, you'll need to select which customers they can access.

  5. Click Save at the bottom of the page.


How to remove a team member

  1. Select Settings from the side menu.

  2. Select Team & permissions.

  3. Click on the team member you want to remove. A side menu will pop up with their current settings.

  4. Click on the three dots next to the user’s name.

  5. Click Remove.


How to check the participants to a chat

✨ This feature is only available on the mobile app.

  1. Log in to the Choco App from your phone.

  2. Tap Chats in the menu bar at the bottom of the screen.

  3. Open the chat with the customer you want to check and tap the settings icon ⚙️.

  4. You’ll see the team members who have access to this customer under Your team members.
