Find and organize products in an order guide

In this article, you can find the steps to search for and organize products in your order guide.

Before searching for products in your order guide, make sure you have added a supplier.

You also should have an order guide with the products you can order from your supplier. If you didn't create your order guide, start by viewing your supplier’s catalog to add products to your order guide.

How to search for products in your order guide

You can easily find products in your order guide by using the search bar (🔍) at the top.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Open the mobile app

    • If you have multiple restaurants on Choco, choose which restaurant you are managing

  2. Select Suppliers in the bottom tab

  3. Select the supplier

  4. Select the Order option on the bottom right

  5. Type the product’s name in the search bar or scroll through the order guide

How to change the order of products in your order guide

You can organize your order guide by alphabetical or custom order of products.

Note: only team members with admin roles can edit order guides.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Open the mobile app

    • If you have multiple restaurants on Choco, choose which restaurant you are managing

  2. Select Suppliers in the bottom tab

  3. Select the supplier

  4. Select the Order option on the bottom right

  5. Select Edit on the top right of your order guide

    • Select Custom at the bottom and move products by selecting the three lines icon on the right of each product

    • Select A-Z at the bottom to display them in alphabetical order

  6. Select Done

How to add product categories to your order guide

You can organize your order guide by custom product categories.

Categories are displayed as tabs at the top of your order guide under the search bar. By selecting each tab, you are redirected to the category section within the order guide.

There are two case scenarios in which you can create a new category:

How to add another product category

Here’s how it works:

  1. Open the mobile app

    • If you have multiple restaurants on Choco, choose which restaurant you are managing

  2. Select Suppliers in the bottom tab

  3. Select the supplier

  4. Select the Order option on the bottom right

  5. Select New category in the last tab under the search bar

  6. Type the name and select OK

  7. Edit the order guide to organize products under each category

How to add a product category for the first time

Here’s how it works:

  1. Open the mobile app

    • If you have multiple restaurants on Choco, choose which restaurant you are managing

  2. Select Suppliers in the bottom tab

  3. Select the supplier

  4. Select the Order option on the bottom right

  5. Select a product by clicking into the name

  6. Select New category at the bottom

  7. Type the name and select OK

  8. Select Done

If you want to add other products to your new category, you can easily do it by editing the order guide following this process.

How to add product categories to your order guide on Choco web

You can also manage order guides on Choco web and all changes are reflected in your app.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Open your browser and go to choco.com

  2. Select Log in on the top right of the website banner

  3. Select Suppliers in the top left tab

    • If you have multiple restaurants on Choco, choose which restaurant you are managing

  4. Select the supplier

  5. Select Edit order guide on the top right

  6. Type the name of each product’s category under the Order guide category column and press enter

How to remove product categories

Here’s how it works:

  1. Open the mobile app

    ◦ If you have multiple restaurants on Choco, choose which restaurant you are managing

  2. Select Suppliers in the bottom tab

  3. Select the supplier

  4. Select the shopping cart option

  5. Select Edit at the top of your order guide

  6. Select the check mark in the category (gray bar in the order guide)

  7. Select the trash option at the top

  8. Select Done

Your products will be moved to the Uncategorized category.
