How to assign an account owner to a customer

Assign a teammate as the account owner for any customer. Use this to make follow‑ups clear and keep your pipeline organised.

From Choco Web

  1. In the left menu, go to Customers.

  2. Click Edit table.

    • Tick Account owner, then Save. Wait for the green toast confirming the change.

  3. In the Account owner column, click Assign for the customer (or click the current owner’s name).

  4. In the Assign account owner panel:

    • Step 1: Search or scroll to find the right teammate.

    • Step 2: Select the teammate.

    • Step 3: Click Apply to save.

  5. Confirm the owner appears as a chip in the cell.

From Choco App

  1. In the chat, open the conversation with a customer.

  2. Tap Go to customer data.

  3. In Details, tap Account owner.

  4. In the Select sales rep panel:

    • Step 1: Search or scroll to find the right teammate.

    • Step 2: Select the teammate (or choose Unassigned).

    • Step 3: Tap Update to save.

  5. Confirm the new owner appears under Account owner on the Details screen.
