Step by Step
In the left menu, go to Customers.
Click Upload customer list (top right of the table).
In the panel Upload customer list, follow the guided steps:
Step 1: Click Download CSV template.
Step 2: Fill the template with your customers (up to 300 entries). Any additional rows will be ignored.
Step 3: Click Click to upload or Drag and drop your CSV. When you see the green check, click Next.
Add your email to receive the upload summary. Use + Add a new email to notify more teammates.
Click Start upload.
Check your inbox for an email titled Customer Data Import Completed. The email shows totals (Created, Pre‑existing, Duplicates, Errored) and lists any rows with issues so you can fix and re‑upload.
✨ Limit: 300 rows per file and CSV up to 5MB. Extra rows are ignored.
Duplicate customer numbers and pre-existing customers are detected and not created. Addresses need to be valid.
FAQ
Does the import create duplicates?
No. If a customer numbers exists more than once in the provided file, only the first will be created. They will appear as Duplicate customer numbers in the email summary.
What happens to customers that already exist?
Any customer number that is already present in Choco will be ignored. They appear as Pre‑existing in the email summary and are not created again.
How will I know the result?
You’ll get an email titled Customer Data Import Completed with counts (Created, Pre‑existing, Duplicates, Errored) and a table of any errors (e.g., Customer Number).
