How to add new customers through Choco web
You can add new customers directly on the Webtool. Here’s how it works:
Open your Choco Webtool on your browser, and inside the Clients tab, click on “Add customer” button in the top right corner.
2. Fill out the three required fields: (1) name of your customer, (2) address of your customer and (3) their customer number.
3. If your customer appears in the list of proposed customers, select “add” next to it. Otherwise, click on “Add as a new customer” at the bottom.
4. You can now add a contact for this customer. You’ll just need to add a Contact Name and a Phone Number.
In the following screen, you’ll be able to set up the invite to your contact to download the app and start ordering to you via Choco. Make sure you include the download link getchoco.com in your message, in case your customer does not use Choco.
5. Now your customer has been added successfully to your account and an invite has been sent to your contact. It will be a good idea to share with your customer the instructions to start ordering with you on Choco upon invitation.
How to send invites to customers through Choco web
You can also send invites to your customers that are already existing on Choco but haven't placed an order using Choco yet.
Under the Customers tab, you'll find an envelope icon next to all customers that haven't placed an order on Choco yet.
Alternatively you can send multiple invites at once by selecting several customers and clicking on the "Send multiple invites".
You'll then be able to configure the message and the recipients in the "Send multiple invites" screen.
How to invite customers through the Choco app
Here’s how it works through the Choco App:
Open your Choco App on your phone, and inside the Chats tab, click on “Add customer” button.
2. Fill out the three required fields: (1) name of your customer, (2) address of your customer and (3) their customer number.
3. You can now add a contact for this customer. You can do that by either filling out a form or adding a contact from your phone.
4. When selecting the form option, you’ll be required to fill out (1) the contact name and (2) the mobile number.
5. Once you’ve added your contact, you’ll be able to send an invitation to the user to download and start ordering via the Choco app.
What happens after sending an invitation to a customer
After sending an invitation, there are different case scenarios of what can happen next:
If your customer is already using the Choco app, a chat between you and the customer will be automatically created.
If your customer isn’t on Choco, a chat will be created as soon as your customer signs in
If your contact is not part of the restaurant account, they should still download the app and request to join their team. They can follow the steps in this article.
What your customers should do when receiving an invitation and they are not on Choco
Click on the link provided in the SMS (getchoco.com)
2. Download the Choco App and click on ‘Get started’
3. Add their phone number and they will immediately receive a verification code of 4 digits.
4. Once they are logged in to Choco, they will find your chat under the ‘Suppliers’ tab and can start ordering.
